When the term America or American is used, almost everyone
understands the definition to be the United States of America.
The few who don't define those terms that way may either
have a grudge against us, may be jealous, or are just not
very smart.

Yes, I too believe in the separation of church and state!
But not in the way Liberals are using the understanding,
in our Constitution, today!
And, anyone who believes God to be a "she" is so far in left
field, they're not even in the ballpark!

Um, well, i kinda like the separation of church and state, i think other places could use a little more of it actually, observe that it is thumpers of holy books that are driving the basic problem with which this thread deals ... maybe a little more humanity and a little less invoking of cult-specific dogma and the taking in vain of the name of god...

I believe the single most important reason America became the great nation she is, was that contribution from Tom Jefferson. His wisdom allowed us to utilize our best and brightest for all tasks, regardless of their faith.
When government mixes with religion, irrational thinking can take place, such as seen in the Middle East and Northern Ireland. Don't forget Pat Robertson ran for President. Now, that's scary...
