Often, revealing the information you do have or don't have tells the other side a lot about how you obtained the information. Most intelligence people would rather keep info secret to protect their sources.

Just speculation on my side but that is the usual philosophy. Eventually the US will put together a "sanitized" set of information that proves the case if they can.

I believe a summary of the "proof" is being assembled and will be released early next week. Whether the "proof" amounts to proof beyond a reasonable doubt is questionable, but probably good enough for most (and me).

Based on the leak by Jesse Helms, I wouldn't be surprised that we'll eventually see an additional link to our old nemesis, Saddam, and his cronies.

Speculation on my part, as always.
