The timing may also have been weather related, because fighting in Afghanistan in the winter would be the most difficult season. 4. Bill Maher was reasonably on target Monday when he said that the terrorist's act was not cowardly. They crashed into a building and died. Cowardly is running away from damage you cause. And, it caused a big brouhaha when Maher said something like fighting a war from a distance when ground combat is what is called for, would be cowardly (he appeared to criticize military objectives of no combat deaths, and thinks the military objective is the objective). 5. Just as using the word "coward" or "cowards" was not productive, some now, including now John MacLaughlin, think even the use of the word "war" is not in our interest. Oh, something about Dell. Windows XP may be slower to take off, than expected, and there may even be an extended delay as groups organize or openly complain about "activation". The need to get new hardware to install Wxp or even OE6.0, in this economy, may face resistance not imagined a short time ago. The SEC gave companies freedom to buy back shares for the 5 trading days ended 9/21. What would the week have looked like without that support? How many shares did Dell buy back this week?
