Of course, the terrorism experts are in the various agencies, like the FBI. Ridge is supposed to be a "making bureaucracy work" expert.......

Gov Ridge is and has always been popular with the left because of his stance on abortion. Although it has nothing to do with the situation faced today, it no doubt greased the skids for such a warm reaction.

He is a popular governor, I voted for him twice. He has a military background and also served as a DA. Seems well equipped for the task ahead.

I think earlier I said he was an ex-marine, he was in the Army in Vietnam.
