Perhaps this could become a division of the newly formed Office of Homeland Security, which Bush announced the formation of last night???? It's not out of the question that the functioning of the stock market in relation to foreign brokerages could fall under the purview of this new office.

Shorting keeps the market at balance Rande. You need to focus your efforts on the allowance of "naked" shorting. that is probably the best you can do...and it is the naked shorting that knocks the balance of securities out of whack. It needs to be stopped. If a trader can't physically put his hands on the stock, it shouldn't be shortable.

And I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you need to take a good look at what is going on around you and decide whether there is really a boogeyman in the closet here. I think the bottom line is...the bids just aren't there. And they shouldn't be...this market has been ridiculously overvalued and has been trading on air for a while now.

My best to you
