Those empty malls may spring back in vengeance in the Christmas shopping season. Depending on how the war against terrorism goes, what other events happen, etc, by early November my bet is that there are some high-visibility offensive strikes, some high-profile terrorists are dead or in jail, mourning is over, optimism reigns, and a lot of consumers are going to make up for deferred purchases -- unless everyone is laid off -g-

Ben, i've been in st louis for the last couple of months (home is port orchard). how is the area reacting to the boeing layoffs?

(driving back in a couple of weeks and NOT using my buddy pass from my son-in-law[twa pilot])
