MG, A possible interesting side effect. Corporate America has been practicing this just in time stuff for quite a while. Maybe, just maybe, some of them will come to realize that having their manufacturing operations off-shore might expose them to exceptional risk when an event closes our borders. The concept of open borders may have just taken a direct hit. You were definitely one of the luckier ones. GE is down ~28% since the end of July. Just a View from the Swamp TB

It's more general (less practical) causes, difficult to pinpoint, that make me sleepless. In essence it's a drive, push, longing, to do something about it, iow very much a feeling of helplessness: my main life-long investment, the kids, how will they do in this changing(changed) world? Will I end retired and free to do whatever I feel like doing in a world that does not have very much to offer anymore? No more blue skies because of contrails all over our mother earth's atmosphere?
