TB> Just In Time chat&chew... ...interesting that you should bring those topics up, Berney ~ for example, the SFO Chronicle, San Jose Mercury newspapers have just begun to talk about Intel and other SillyValley company's ops in Israel :-/ fwiw, big Bull w/American flag gracing cover of this week's Barron's : It's Time to Buy Stocks ! the headline screams {grin} ...MadameGonzo and her grrrl-friends noticed that executives, upscale retailers are dumping their fine wardrobes on EBAY ~ do a search under clothing:mens for "KITON", "ISAIA", "BARBERA", "BRIONI", "OXXFORD", "ZEGNA", "MISSONI", "CANALI", etc. EBAY will survive, perhaps thrive ~ sort of an American version of the traditional, under-the-table "cash" or "barter" european economy (I know I'll catch hell from Jury and DJ for this one :) so - what do you make of this new Cabinet position, what's it called, "Internal Security" or something? ...if Ashcroft would shut up - stop whining about needing to flush the Bill of Rights to do his job ~ Congress could ask him (and Rummy) : (1) Where the hell was our intelligence; and, (2) Where the hell was our defense ? But I guess so long as Ashcroft and Rumsfeld stay on the offensive, cloak themselves in: "we can't discuss National Security because of National Security" (?) then the conversation will be theirs, and not ours. Rummy says, "We need a new vocabulary for this 'New Kind of War' " ...perhaps he will call it " newspeak " _ I would suggest, as others have ~ that we bomb Afghanistan with clothing, food and colour tee-vee's (tuned to CNN & Disney) but ~ I know that I am in the minority, believing that the best defense of Capitalism... is Capitalism itself (^_^) -Steve
