I'll quote it straight out of the style guide if you require ... There's no need to do it on my account. I'm familiar with the practice. Or are you just trying to instigate more flame wars... No. Bill and I have had an ongoing discussion for some time regarding bias in the media. It has always been very cordial. This post is just one of our occasional posts to each other on the subject. I didn't expect it to provoke any interest from anyone else. ...with some objective of 'proving' that the media are liberally biased? I have no wish to prove that. I have observed only minor bias. I am aware, however, that others perceive much more so I tend to watch for it. In this case, the editorial was generous to the GOP by not printing the Congressman's affiliation. I thought Bill might find that interesting. If you want examples of the myriad complaints about the identification of Condit's party, you might check out the Condit thread. I recall it being discussed there. Karen
