Hi RtS,

Part of the problem is that we really won't see a true bottom in the market till the last of the long term buy and hold types throw in the towel too. If this kind of thinking persists then COMPX 1000 is a really reality. The market will bounce a few time before we get there, but those comments indicate that true capitualtion is not here yet. The FED can drag this out, but I don't believe they can stop a recession.

If the market does not turn before the end of the year in a significant way, then I believe we are in for a long and protracted economic slide as the psychology of traders and investor alike will have been dramatically effected and it will take years to change that.

Hi RTS,

Everyone is looking to find that perfect bottom and then perfect setup for a rally point. Today I spent my time in the Sunny southern california (with a target threat of major studios in the city) and I am very happy to report that freeways were crowded more than usual, malls were filled with people. I was very happy to see that I wasn't alone going around. However, people may not be travelling(air) much but they are all doing other forms of activity.

Harry..... enough people have given up. All my friends are not trading and they don' t even want to invest any more money in the market. Investor sentiment is becoming bearish. BTW, this is the first time I am very comfortable going long stocks based on fundamental outlook. In due course we will know whether it will be a right move or not. However, with the recent events I am convinced even more than ever that we will have a very good time as longs till Apr/June 2002.

Later,

Suresh
