I think a little acceptance of guilt all around would be good for the soul. Ever complained about airport delays for security reasons? Like cheap tickets ?? Accepting guilt rather then apportioning blame works so well in getting others on your side and ensuring the problem gets really fixed for good.

I have often taken a pocket knife on board airplanes. Only ever stopped once and that was a Heathrow Airport where the security guard took it off me and shipped it with the main luggage. The door for some nuts to commit these atrocities was wide open. Various security authorities tried to have things changed and failed..probably because "the public would not accept it". So we failed those dead and wounded too.

Lets accept there were many problems that contributed to our security problem, not just the monsters that carried out the atrocity.

and yeah, this was not the first terrorist plot, we all know that for sure.

"Regarding foreign aid, which you probably haven't paid the least bit of attention to in the last three decades due to you ideological blindness"

Maybe YOU need to pay attention: globalarchive.ft.com

"Regarding the pathetic and misguided attempt by airline industry executives to promote their insane "free market/de-regulated" concepts"

Look behind you, there must be an airhose you backed into. Let me wake you up to reality big guy, the big 3 airlines DID NOT want de-regulation. Why? Not because they are greedy, it's because there is NO MONEY in it! They were working on healthy 35% margins and higher when they weren't dabbling in fuel futures. Thanks to the Reagan administration dereg-ing the airlines, all of them now operate on 5% or LESS, now they HAVE to find riskier ways to make money by taking away (or not adding to) costs. Did you happen to see the report about Swiss Air today? Or were you to interested in blowing smoke to understand that this is a WORLDWIDE problem and not relegated to the US.

"As to the liability suits that are about to be filed against the airlines, all I can say is that the executives of these companies ought to lose their "corporate veil""

Where do you get off thinking airlines are mis-managed? You could take all the managements salaries for one year, and it would not amount to a hill of beans to where their cash-burn rate is. Why do they get paid? Because they know what the hell they are doing! You try it...I bet you can't even fly a paper airplane.

"We stopped 100 terrorist plots in the last few years? Oh, really? Where do you get your proof? What's your source? The Drudge Report?"

Suprisingly, I was being conservative with that number. I guess you don't remember the non-New Years celebration in Seattle as an example. There are 3000 members of this terroristic cult in over 60 countries. Are you THAT naive to think those actions two weeks ago was the only acts (or plans) of terrorism here? Man, you are smokin' weed...Unlike you, I don't waste my time with Drudge dribble...let's go right to the source dude:

fbi.gov

Plese note these are FILES per year, not one-time instances.

I'm still waiting for intelligent dialogue. GFY
