I was hoping your last post to me was your Last post to me. But like I said wishful thinking on my part. First I was not posting to you but to Doug AK and I'm sure he is capable of insulting me on his own if he wishes to. I am 61 years old, I have 5 children 4 of whom are out on their own one is a pilot ( some ammunition for you )one still at home. I live in Ontario and I am retired from a large mining firm. I am 6ft 2&1/2" tall and weigh about 225lbs. I now have a farm where I raise sheep and deal very often with people of the Islam faith who come to my home to deal. Lamb is part of their religion and they have a special ceremony that requires that they do their own killing of the lamb. Also deal with Hindu, Muslim, Italian etc. As for reading I think I and maybe a few others can read very well where you are coming from. You said....." Here is what you said on a previous post and my response and question to you. You said......." Knee jerk heroics are part and parcel of what we're seeing just now. And before you spout off self richeously about Rememberence Day remember that wars have touched the lives of many of us."........ My response... What knee jerk heroics do you refer to?. Are you referring to knee jerk hero's that jumped to the aid of their fellow Americans the Firefighters, Police, Citizens in New York? Or maybe those folks on ( I think it was flight 93 ) that gave their lives to stop terrorist? And here is what one of your comrades said and my response. ...." It is my hope that many many people read what richnorth has said. ..... " I think all this talk about loss of freedoms and freedoms having been fought for and paid for with lives is all a crock/malarky to justify government's action in fighting wars and is parroted by the unthinking because it sounds so appealing and noble. All that freedom talk is brought in to scare the shit out of the citizenry and/or to console those people who have lost relatives fighting in the wars and to en-noble the fallen. Let's face it. If we are attacked, we fight back. Plain and simple as that. We don't want to be subjugated to another way of life. There is really no need to bring in all that freedom BS. To me anyway, it's unnecessary. But government propagandists use it often as they realize they can get a lot of mileage out of it. It's really sad that too many folks sound like they are about to lose all their freedom. It's like they are throwing in the towel even before the fight has begun. Do you now see what "brainwashing"/propaganda has done to you?"..... My response... Rememberence Day is coming up soon and I am going to make sure I attend a service somewhere and try to remember that those who gave their lives did so for the likes of you as well as for those of us who appreciate what they did. I'm sure you feel no SHAME. One of the freedoms we have is freedom of speech and I am going to stop your freedom of speech at least to me. I wish you no good luck... Ignore Well nos I am aware that I am losing this little battle here on GPM as more of your kind come out of the woodwork but I feel good with myself that at least I tried and who knows maybe there are now a few readers who now know where you are really coming from.
