Many critical countries will be weighng the meaning and the advantages and disadvantages of aligning their capitals with the US in our pursuit. Most certainly, I would think some realignments may emerge from all this, certainly in the short-term and perhaps longer. I notice the Far Eastern Economic Review is one of the first out of the box with a "thumbsucker"--thin as it is-- examining the dangers and the opportunities in Asia. Perhaps FA should turn out a special edition. On second thought,not a good idea.
