Yes... the British CERTAINLY favored the Arabs in Palestine.. And you can understand why considering their oil interests and their interest in the Suez Canal... They just weren't willing to put those assets at risk. But technically, it was wrong because the Jews had properly purchased their land from both the Turks and Palestinians in the area, and had been loyal allies during WWII, whereas the Arabs had supported Hitler.
