"British favored the Arabs?" Have you heard of the Balfour Declaration? Britain was the primary political force that helped establish, first the colonization, and then the UN partition of Palestine and statehood of Israel. "The Jews had properly purchased their land"???????? Wrong again! The Jews purchased only 9% of the land in the original 47 UN partition. Some 90% of Israeli land was confiscated(stolen) from Palestinians to create the state of Israel. While it is true the most of this 90% came from the public land originally administered by the Ottoman Turks, the land was, neverthless, Palesetinian "common land" that could be used for grazing and agriculture. After the establishment of the Zionist government, this land was set aside in a "Jewish Trust" to be used only by Jews. Palestinians Moslems and Christians are legally forbidden to use this land by Israeli law.
