David, if CB's definition is used, even more cowardly than a suicide mission on a kindergarten because the suicide person would have to have the courage of their convictions whereas those who dropped the nukes on Hiroshima kindergartens could fly safely away.

Yes, that is exactly my point.

Saudi Arabia will be renamed Ladenland

Yes, Al-Arab Al-Ladeniye :) Actually he'll probably prefer 'Islamic Emirate of"... no not grand enough, how about "The Arabian Caliphate" to be expanded in due course to the Global Caliphate....

I hope the USA has their bases in Pakistan well-defended.

I guess you mean bases to be? I figure they will stick on their aircraft carriers for the meantime with bunches of commandos going over and coming back fast. Remember the US already shot down one Iranian airliner they thought was on a kamikaze attack. BTW, that hasn't been mentioned in the last couple of weeks by anyone...

BTW I was just listening to "Australia Talks Back" on Radio National and several of the callers complained about Bush's use of the word "crusade" which he has since apologized for.

David

"Saudi Arabia will be renamed Ladenland"

More likely it would be renamed to Ladeni Arabia if Obl takes over. Right now it is called Saudi Arabia after the house of Saud.

However, ObL is said to be dying of kidney disease... cbsnews.com

Perhaps it explains his attitude, since he has nothing left to lose. OTOH, it could all be a smoke screen. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Taliban put out a fake death announcement and held a fake funeral.

Maurice,
Whether you die or don't die the 'ACT' was cowardly the rest is moot.

But since it seems to be an important distinction to some folks:
So any suicide attack is somehow honourable because someone has the 'conviction' to die for a cause ? die in the name of Allah.. I really can't believe what I'm hearing.
Tim McVeigh was a hero I guess to some, and he did end up dying.
Some group assassinates all Q shareholders in a massive series of nuclear detonations and die in the process because they are convinced that cell phones are microwaving the earth........ of course there is again collateral damage, but they died too and they do believe...... so it's honourable and they have guts and it's... and....

'He is certainly not faceless, senseless or cowardly in any normal use of English' ---
Maurice, that's just your opinion and I you're welcome to it........

re: Hiroshima --- And just who got the 'prior' warning about the WTC ?

regards
Kastel
