Still have to replace the basestation, which won't be cheap. Are you saying that an UltraSite basestation can serve as a simple replacement for previously existing GSM basestation and the network will work fine in all four modes? That it's a cheap plug-in? LOL

It's overkill for operators who decide to use less than four modes. I suspect that there will be a few of those.

By the way, the header on the announcement says that it is a triple mode product, but I count four touted, HSCSD, GPRS, EDGE, and WCDMA. Five if you include GSM.
