They are getting 1.13GHz chips out of the .13, just not any higher

There are lots of signs that Intel cannot produce chips on their 0.13 micron process in any volume despite protests to the contrary.

I guess you don't get it so I'll have to spell it out for you:

Tualatins are going into mobile where the margins are higher.

Intel is shifting desktop to P4.

The .13u process is fine but there's no real volume runner until Northwood hits the streets. In fact northwood is probably in high volume production right now.

Intel is killing PIII.
