Ted, Re: AMD will take a one-time charge between $80 million and $110 million covering these restructuring activities and other special charges in the current quarter.

I wonder what these "other special charges" are? Inventory write off?

This is what AMD said when they sold off their communications chip business a year or so ago. Given next quarters losses, it has not worked out that well. Certainly they will be even more focused now, and it is probably too late to change strategy. Cutting costs makes sense.
