The sad part is that Gateway was also dumping trays of Athlon MPs... With AMD reputedly stuffing the channel in late Q2, IBM shutting them off, Micron shutting them off, Gateway shutting them off and dumping excess inventory, a PC slowdown and a war. Is it possible AMD isn't shipping any product at this time? New product delays. ASPs crashing... Fabs closing... Layoffs... No .13u Frequency topped out. Second rate performance and falling farther behind. No SMP design wins. No customers or operating system for Hammer. (plus no Hammer), Red ink for as far as the mind can project... This has got to be the bleakest moment in AMD's history. EP
