first, let me get this out of the way: <<(Question: Is this going to get me convicted for being on my soap-box again?)>>
no. b/c you're stating YOUR position as YOUR opinion.

second, i realize coach was trying to get opinions, but he also wanted to know the burn rate, which i think should figure BIG TIME into those opinions.... b/c the longer the "race", the better the odds are for CWNT....with the money they raised in the last round of financing, i'd think they have a good 12-18 months of cash to burn. hopefully, they will have revenue to support their burn rate in the coming quarters, as well....

and, to stay on your horse race theme, you don't have to come in first to win money...if we just show or place in a few of these divisions, i'd be happy. in that regard, CWNT doesn't have to make it through very many horses to be in the top 3. i don't think they can catch JNPR or CSCO, so let's hope they concentrate on taking part of the purse. recognized revenue in Q4 or early Q1 would be a nice start.

<<But my concerns have been that they may not know how to get the product into the right sales channels. Can they?>>

clearly, that's the biggest question behind, "does the box work?" with a host of current betas, we'll see on BOTH accounts. it's a VERY long sales cycle when you're selling into CSCO and JNPR territory. the IT dept is going to have to be CERTAIN of success before they lose their job over buying non-CSCO/JNPR equipment. but there are a bevy of betas running that will determine this....

<< Then too, what do you make of a company that thinks that they can support world-wide installations from A (meaning single) base in Israel. Can they?>>
the question is more like "should they?"...
they don't have to. i would imagine they'd do something similar to what zuma announced. it would only make sense to have a separate installation and maintenance contract with a third party.

as for the other horses....i won't lay odds as i'd hate to equate investing with gambling. i'd rather own the horses than bet on them.

Hi James,

The analogy of the race falls down for me. There could be many "winners" when the final tally is known. Beyond that, where is anyone getting factual information to compute the odds for success of any of these start-up ventures? CWNT has the "potential" to be worth many times the existing market cap of MRVC. How much of MRVC's present market cap represents its 53% of CWNT? Not much, is my guess.

Best regards,

Mike

N-Base 7/1???????????

Those are long odds Jim. Where do the bulk of the non LMNE revenues stem from? Nbase may be the lowest risk part of MRV.
