<<<, Has anything really changed with MCLD in the
last month? >>
Not that I'm aware of. In fact I was told the company used the last few months as a time to clean up its business by "cutting the fat".

<<Could it be as simple as margin calls? >> No. Margin calls would of hit when the stock closed below $5.00. It's been under $5 for some time so it has not been marginable for some time.

That goes for shorting it as well. All the selling volume is actually selling with no shorting as stocks this low are not shortable (exception by some small brokerages in different countries, but that wouldn't show up as nasdaq sales).

On the positive side, MCLD is in the Nasdaq 100 and the Nasdaq has said it probably will not enforce the delisting rule (stocks under $1 usually become delisted from the nasdaq) for at least a year. One could say the Nasdaq thinks some of these companies will be back over a $1 within a year.

<<<Much speculation here and speculation is typically false >>>
Agreed. Mostly just thinking aloud as I was/am really surprised at today's action and was just floating some thoughts to get the thread debating.

I was really betting that the price would be heading north yesterday and today. That the selling was institutions prevented from keeping a stock under $1. I hope today was a follow through on their dumping. Anyone know where we can get "real time" institutional holdings? They use to own 49% of the company. Then I saw 45% last week. If we can discover that number is dropping, and soon should be close to zero, we'll have a good handle on why the high sale volume and deflated stock price.

I for one would be a buyer at these levels if I could see that the institutional holdings has dropped significantly.
