Mary:

Re: To believe that Christians are being persecuted by the Politcally Correct agenda is nuts.

You obviously didn't notice how the PC police pounded Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson for their recent WTC comments. Falwell's timing was bad, and he's certainly no Billy Graham, but his underlying message still resonates out here away from the Left and Right coasts.

Mary, <To believe that Christians are being persecuted by the Politcally Correct agenda is nuts.>

I don't know when I ever equated political correctness with persecution, either literally or in meaning.

<You don't know what true persecution is.>

No, but I do know what Pete-style obfuscation is.

Mary, more OT, RE: [by Tenchusatsu]: <<<How about the anti-Christian viewpoints being allowed all across college campuses, while the Christian viewpoints are deemed "politically incorrect"?>>>

[by Mary]: Our country was founded based on religious tolerance. We didn't want to be the same as with where we came from - people died in the name of religion. We wanted to ensure religious freedom by separating the Church from the State.

I don't see where you addressed Tenchusatsu's point at all. Free speech has nothing to do with the separation of Church and State.

Political Correctness crosses the line when it causes censorship. Yes, the intent is noble in that it attempts to throw out the bad and keep the good. The problem is that you're dependent upon the people in charge to define bad and good. If you don't agree with their definition, you're out of luck.
