Tench,
That line Mary takes is the typical line of crapola...
It's also very egotisical. These Elitists sit up in their ivory towers and pretend to be "enlightened"...
Everything is fine until someone encroaches on their territory.
I don't blame you for getting upset about that Asian remark. I'm sure you got where you are on your own accord...

Jim

Tench,
Marys remark about Asians, was a tongue in the cheek remark, and was not her opinion. Similarly Tims remark about dousing the Santa Cruz homeless population with gasoline and setting them afire, was in a similar vein.

Where is everyone's sense of humor !

Some of my fellow Asians would consider that a racist remark. Yes, I am being serious.

I think she meant that Asians will do so well everyone else will have to work hard to keep up. Is that racist? I think it's just reality. Not being able to admit it might be considered political correctness, no?

"Some of my fellow Asians would consider that a racist remark. Yes, I am being serious."

Why are you so surprised? Didn't she made that
"glaring" slip, in

"My neighborhood is relatively prosperous. Although there are some from the International community but glaringly absent are African-American homeowners."

Does not it show true colors of her, or
I misunderstood something [as usual<ggg>]?
