I have known a few people who worked for the CIA, and they were all good guys. So without more direct evidence, to me it's "post hoc, ergo propter hoc." We trained them to kill, and some bad guys killed innocent people. That doesn't mean that it's the policy of our government to kill innocent people.

Our government trained Lee Harvey Oswald and Timothy McVeigh to kill, too.

I agree that sometimes our foreign policy has been misguided. With better information and more informed input, we can make a difference.
