In fact, the US was relatively late in recognizing Israel if I recall correctly, because Truman felt they were a socialist state (and they were to an extent). It was definitely Britain, at the height of it's global power after the defeat of the Turks, that decided how to carve up the mid-east amongst those tribes and clans who had supported them against the Turks. And the Serbs were not OUR allies in WWII.. They WERE predominantly the allies of the USSR, and thus, on our side, but not our allies. In fact, the US and Britain tried to support partisan groups that were loyal to the king of Yugoslavia, and not Tito's partisans... at least until later in the war. And if you think those $*%&%#$^&##& people are serious, maybe it's time you became $*($*$&*$*$ serious yourself in supporting their defeat, as well as isolating ANY government that lends them financial, logistical, or political support. And when we get our hands on Bin Laden and his thugs, I hope they put him on trial as a war criminal. After all, he declared war upon the US years ago, although we didn't reciprocate until Sept 11th... He has committed war crimes and should be tried as such. Are Americans the only people that bleed and suffer? Obviously not, since citizens from more than 80 nations died in that attack, including muslims. But we have a responsibility to hunt these political criminals down and hang them from the highest tree we can find. And since the rule of law is non-existent in these countries, we're going to have to implement our own law upon them. Btw, would it make you feel better if those people had died at the hands of Soviet or French arms instead?? Guns don't kill people... people kill people. Hawkmoon
