Agreed.

At minimum I am sure that Nokia has carefully planned the manner and methodology of any patching and flashing that will need to be done with initially released models.

OTA patching and upgrading is evidently still a "wish list" item for carriers across all technologies, but I would have to think that Patches and upgrades will be handled with OTA in the future (with a fallback to the carrier or distributor).

I saw an article about this recently relative to some conversations that were going on in Japan. DoCoMo at least for now preferring traditional recall. did you see the article I am recalling?
