Excellent point and I dunno why...
Inevitably customers will compare Palomino PR to P4 Mhz...
So AMD probably PRed them too low...yet they felt the need to NOT directly compare Palominos to P4s...
Kind of a compromise...maybe the safe way to go...

Boy, this is really a great marketing scheme, even the AMD faithful can't figure out what the number means (what it is compared to).

Imagine how crystal clear this will be to Mr. Average Joe Consumer. "Mr. Consumer, this number is a derivative of the MHz of a thunderbird divided by a P4 and multiplied by Jerry Sander's street address".
