Jim, AMD marketing needs to hit the airwaves, including both radio and television, and start conveying clear messages. Something like "Most people think a faster clock speed means better performance. Most people are wrong." Then they should be hammering this message into people's heads over and over again.

The message could take the form of a bar graph, a slogan, even a jingle, something simple but clear. It doesn't even have to be the truth (as in the case of most of Apple's marketing messages), but it does have to be conveyed and repeated ad infinitum.

I'm not even a marketing kind of guy, yet I understand basic stuff like this. Too bad AMD marketing is trying to be too clever for their own good, a criticism usually reserved for Intel's engineers.
