Yep.. connectionless protocol.. But the problem is that they are being sent from my Linksys, since the IPSEC and NAT would prevent them from being relayed to my system unless I sent the request out for a steaming signal.

But most importantly, it's not a stream of packets, but rather one UDP packet being sent at 30 second intervals.

So the key to this is trying to figure out what can generate a UDP packet at that time interval.. (at least that's what I'm figuring is the first step).

I can't imagine any reason the router would generate a UDP packet at that time interval, and NAT should prevent any other type of spurious UDP packet from being forwarded to my system from beyond the router.

It's really strange, but probably something obvious that I'm missing.

If there are any Matrox G450 experts around, I could use some help. I installed a G450 on my Dell 4100 yesterday. The Matrox replaces a ATI128Ragepro card which worked well. I want two monitors so I can have more charts up. After installing the new card, I rebooted and interrupted the plug and play sequence and installed the Matrox CD which installed the Matrox software. On rebooting, I saw the boot sequence on both monitors, however, I have been unable to get anything else to display on monitor #2 and it does not show up in device manager. I tried to get device manager to search for new plug and play device, but it found none. It does show the Matrox G450, and it shows monitor #1. I tried to add a new device, but there is no option in the list for monitors. My OS is W2000 with SP2. To troubleshoot, I shut down and switched the monitors on the Matrox. On rebooting, the boot sequence again showed on both monitors. But the #2 monitor is again missing from device manager and is not detected, while my regular desktop shows up on #1 (the former #2).

I know there is a Matrox support board, but it is closed on weekends and I'd like to wrap this up so I can be up and running for the market open tomorrow.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks, Alan, for taking this post. I think I recall you have a G450.
