Wow, mess with SS income? That would bring Claude Pepper back from the grave.

One thing I was thinking about today was the nice orderly way in which your scenario could end up at around COMPX 1200-1250 (the correct 2003 crash value in my opinion) when it all ends in 1-2 years.

If we get a rise here that is stopped dead around 1700-1750 by the descending trendline from the January highs, reverse to a technical double bottom 2-months later, a-la 1987, and then go to 2250 and meet our demise at the hands of the descending Sept. 2000 Support/Resistance line, we'll have a nice set-up for a H&S ending (After a bear-rally after the high).

Where would that ending be at? 1200-1250 COMPX. It is all real pretty, logical, and technically plausible.

It may be an agonizing market from April 2002-October 2002 and during the same period in 2003 if this plays out.

The script written by the turnips impressive.

Zeev:

I agree with your points on the type of tax package needed but you and I differ on that 75k limit being eliminated.

One thing now though is most state budgets will start to take a hit.
