The Big Ten season begins in earnest this week, with everyone except the cheeseheads in conference games. Only Illinois has started out 3-0, and they must travel to the Big House...... I'd post my Week One results here but I can't remember what they were....I think I was 7-2 or 8-1 or something.....all I remember is that the cheeseheads got crushed by Frazzled State and that ruined the weekend.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Big Ten · Sep 29 Western Ky. vs. Wisconsin 2:05ET Why does Kentucky have more than one University? Last year Illinois won the game, but the referees awarded it to the Wolves with a series of appalling 4th Quarter calls. Illinois 23, Michigan 20 Purdue (#21) vs. Minnesota 12:00 ET Yawn. Purdue 28, Minnesota 10. Michigan State (#24) Michigan St. vs. Northwestern (#18) 12:00 ET Another good matchup. MSU ranked because they beat Notre Dame, but Notre Dame hasn't beaten anybody yet. Northwestern still inspired...both teams 2-0. Northwestern 38, MSU 34 Ohio St. vs. Indiana 12:10 ET OHowIHateOhioState, read the bumper stickers in my home state. It's harder to hate them now, they just aren't that good. But Indiana is worse. OSU 28, Indiana 13 Penn St. vs. Iowa 12:10 ET Paterno is close to a coaching record, but he stopped coaching years ago, and the program is listing in the wind.
