chalu2, Superb article, thanks. I have read it once and will read it a couple of more times. I hope that there are those many who see the problems within their Islamic world and join in the fight to eradicate the problems.

Islam vs. the West:
Interesting, but it does not capture the real division in the world. The real distinction is between modern technology and fundamental religion of all types. There is not a dime's worth of difference between Ayatollah Khomeini and Jerry Falwell except for the enemies on their lists. In each case you have a spiritual leader frightened of emerging technologies and the independant thought enabled by those technologies and worried for their own position as high mucky-muck of some group. Yes that article is true, but it is incomplete.
