Your inability to distinguish the difference between the Ayatollah and Falwell, shows a lack of perspective (and IMHO is dishonest). When you minimize the Ayatollah by comparing him with Falwell (and I don't think very highly of Mr. Falwell), you merely display your prejudice. You seem to be so closed minded, that you refuse to acknowledge that American politics has changed since September 11th - or at least this is what I gather from your posts.

Yes, the article is incomplete. The truth is that the United States was driven into supporting Israel, by Arab States like Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and organizations like the PLO - in large part because of their embrace of the Soviet Union. IMHO State Support of Terrorist organizations in the middle east were a result of the Soviets, Syria, Libya and Iraq realizing that the window of opportunity in defeating Israel militarily had closed.

Here's a million dollars worth of difference: Khomeini took hostages, resulting in death for too many for no purpose; Falwell didn't and won't. Falwell's creed points to love and forgiveness; Khomeini's points to death to the "infidels."

Falwell might have foot in mouth disease, but he does not promote killing innocents.

"fundamental religion of all types. "

Do you include fundamentalist Judaism? We often hear of the ignorance and hatred in Christian and Moslem fundamentalism but NEVER about the ignorance and hatred in Jewish and Orthodox fundamentalism. When we consider the fact that fanatic Jewish fundamentalist now control Israel, I think it is time for a little balance in this area.
Jewish fundamentalism is just as responsible as Moslems fundamentalism for the terror campaingn now being wage against our own nation.
