Just a few months ago, ADM looked great! It's Athlons were matching Intel's P4's for less money on cheaper RAM, the MP was out, and looking great, it's lower voltage and heat processors were peeking the interest of Notebook makers, DELL was even rumored to be about to use AMD in some of it's products, Intel was trading at a rich multiple compared to ADM so we thought AMD to rise to meet them, and we were all hoping the fourth quarter would look up for the PC Industry in general. All of this has changed, and whatever bones AMD will throw us on the 15th, won't make any difference now. I am a perfect example of how AMD is slipping away. I was just about to commit to three server purchases using Tyan760MP Mobo's. I pulled the purchase at the last moment, because finally Intel's P3-1.133/512KB CPU's were out in abundance, and despite the higher cost, and lower performance, as a server buyer, I felt "safer" going with Intel on a Compaq ML370-G2 server, then winging it with AMD. Trust me, if I'm willing to give up on AMD, then IS Directors all over are doing the same. All I can say to you remaining longs on AMD is to close your eyes and ask yourself if all the reasons you liked this stock are still valid now. If you are in doubt they are as I am, you would not be buying more here. You'd should consider taking your loses and moving on. I truely hope AMD survives, and keeps Intel on it's toes, but as and investment, I'd rather take my hard earned money elsewhere.
