The problem there is, many people have very low thresholds for what constitutes "imposing". Some would say "saying whatever we like" IS tantamount to "imposing".

That's not really what I was saying. Unless what you mean by "doing wrong" is "being the most prosperous nation in the history of the world". Whether we choose to share the ingredients of our prosperity with others or not, some people are going to be resentful. That cannot be escaped.

But what I don't understand is why you seem so determined to cast the terrorist actions as America's fault??
