Saw an announcement for the Palomino 1.1 (assume ghz but with amd it may be quanta-ghz) which will be priced at $103 which is identical to the celeron 1.1 price according to the news blurb..

Intel will come through unscathed though...so will Dell...lol...just some one time markdowns/write off... Again.. Jim Hey, I know, maybe they can "copy" AMD, and take an 80-110 million 1 time charge, for throwing 15% of their workforce out the door. Except, they can't, because instead of doing that, they've been reducing through attrition, and VSP, for more than a year now. Too bad Jerry was so focused on screwing intel, that he didn't see his own company slipping away from him. :-) Semi
