Hi H2SteveO,

I looked at the Ha'aretz daily. It is an Israeli newspaper, so I give it about as much credit for being unbiased on the subject of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as I would a Palestinian paper.

Sure, but then we should also then note that for each Palestinian mother willing to send her child to his death, she gets $15,000 from the PLO; which is
probably reimbursed by the Saudi Government.

Are you speculating that the Saudi government reimburses this practice?

While there are always going to be those that sympathezie with the poor and oppressed Palestinians, the fact remains that they are breedign suicide killers to be leant out to the cause.

I sympathize with all innocents, regardless of their nationality.

I am incensed that our government is trying to appease Arafat and grant him credibility;

A question: have you read the Salon.com article referenced here a number of times? I'm curious about what appears to be a new willingness on the part of Americans to reconsider US involvement with Israel now that it is becoming apparent that much of the rest of the world does not share our view.

they brought it home for us, didnt they?

I'm unwilling to believe that the acts of terrorism on September 11th were borne out of a sense on the part of the terrorists that the US does not have the stomach to defend its interests.
