isnt it strange for the vix to spike straight up and then settle down again without another spike?
usually vix spikes again with naz testing lows again...

For whatever reason gold has been moving pretty much opposite the stock market of late. People like Kudlow would like to see higher POG because they feel that would signal an end to the deflation fears. But others in the financial community apparently see POG as a panic indictor and feel it must be held under $300 as long as possible.

Which of these views will ultimately win out I cannot say.
