Where did you read that? Even the Serbian government only puts it at 3000 involved in Kosovo AND Macedonia, together.

Of course, they won't likely find much local support in either place any more. Albanian rebels in both places have been turning in their weapons. Serbs, who are a minority in Kosovo, are starting to return to villages they abandoned during the NATO bombing, villages which are being rebuilt with UN relief. And moderates in Macedonia's government are trying to push through and amnesty measure and other reforms and protections to ensure the conflict does not reignite there, where Albanians are the minority. Looks like the few remaining mujahedeen, if any, are out of a job and the Balkans won't be the place where WWIII begins.
