No, GZ, modern weaponry speeds things up. The advent of nuclear and biological weapons may make World War One's hyperbole about a "war to end all wars" a reality if this all eventually triggers World War Three. The next war may indeed be the war to end all wars merely because what will be left will be radiation, algae, and cockroaches..
