Dare I say that IMHO this is the best book on trading ever written, even better than Reminescences of a Stock Broker. Unlike most trading books that have been written in the past few years, I don't think there is not one concept or idea in Trading in the Zone that will ever be looked upon as being dated, because this book is simply about human nature, and nothing else. Mark Douglas has an incredible and gifted understanding of human nature and trading. I have never read any nonfiction book where every single sentence (bar none) rang true to the very core of my experience and inexperience as a trader and a human being. I think this book is destined to become a timeless classic.

Right there with you OZ,

Alex

Totally agree Oz, absolute must read. Had I read (and understood!) this book in early days of my trading I would have saved plenty of money. Now as those concepts are incorporated in my approach and became natural for me and for RealityTrader, it's hard to say whether I would be able to grasp the ideas back then.. to say honestly, afraid not. Nonetheless, this read would with no doubt have accelerated greatly advance to the right approach.

Re Mark Douglas - To those who don't already know Douglas' work, read his first book, The Disciplined Trader, first to comprehend his entire insight. It sets you up for the mindset Oz so rightly praises.

Oz,

Mark is a really nice guy too. I'll be seeing and speaking with him this weekend. Will let him know about the DT love feast in his honor <g>.
