gaj,

I'll bet that Pitt will face a storm of political pressure to back off. There are so many idiots in the mix these days that he is sure to get criticized.

Hey maybe the pols will also try to ban short selling on single stock futures.

Did I get it right that rule change means you can't short at the bid anymore regardless of tick but have to short by offering out? If yes, then it makes shorting harder, not easier.

uptick rule being changed (from shorting on uptick ONLY to shorting on "better than best bid")

Do we not already have that? Plus the ability to hit the bid on an uptic. I am not sure I see the difference.
