The irony of starwars is that it would not have been effective on 9/11 even if it had been in place. Yes and it also wouldn't have help combat crime or cure cancer. I'm sure you could come up with an enormous list of things that SDI is not intended to do, that it would it fact not do. Tim, my point was that we spend/wasted billions on an item that would not have been of benefit and would have been to some degree redundant. Had the money been better spent, we might have discovered a cure for cancer by now. Instead, no one benefited other than the defense contractors who participated in the program. ted
