Disagree. The war on terrorism will run its own course. Dems and Repubs are united on this issue.

Bush Sr. lost to Clinton in '92 despite what some would call a successful prosecution of the Persian Gulf War. so the war on terrorism won't be a big factor in the '02 mid-terms or the '04 presidential race, in my opinion.

The three key issues in '02 and '04 are as follows:

1. Economy
2. Economy
3. Economy

If Joe Worker's 401(k) is healthy, he might vote Republican. If Joe Worker's 401(k) is worth 75% of what it was worth in '99, he'll vote Democratic.
