It is not that simple, I know for a fact that the Israeli have tried hard to create a thriving economy in the Palestinian territories, but the leadership simply closes the door, leaving only the Palestinian (when it is quieter) that work in Israel to support the Palestinian economy. I number of joint ventures were attempted, but as far as I know, just to be closed. There are about 1000 flats available (built by a European charity) for camps dweller, beautiful apartments, but they are unoccupied since Arafat has declared a death sentence on those that would accept keys.
