I don't agree with IDF tactics either. Those who don't serve in the army are usually opposed to the Zionists and the State of Israel. The extreme rightwingers are keen on military service. Some ultraorthodox non-Zionists do live in the West Bank (like my cousin in Beitar Illit) because it is very cheap to live there. he hasn't served in the army but he isn't a rightwinger by any means.

I was being deliberately provocative, but your statement wouldn't see favor with either side to the conflict. It was proposed in 1947 and rejected by the Arab side. I don't think they want it now either. That doesn't mean that outside parties might help in reaching a settlement.

Others might have different views of the US and its behavior. I am pro-American for sure. They would see the US supporting oppressive regimes like Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the past.

On the other hand, using US-supplied Apache helicopters and Abrams tanks to assault civilian areas in the West Bank and Gaza is a tactic with which I do not agree. For example, when the IDF used Apaches a few months ago to assassinate a well-known leader of Hamas, there were American citizens of Palestinian decent on the floor below. They could have been killed, and a child below was.

What do you suggest that Israel do? Is it your recommendation that Israel should not respond at all to the suicide bombers, who are operating with complete impunity from PA territory?
