If it is, do you think AMD will be telling the public not to use Pentium 4 as a basis of comparison? Hint hint, winky winky ...

Make no mistake, AMD does not intend to be clear nor consistent in their use of the rating. It's more likely that they'll say, "It all depends on what your definition of 'performance' is. (Hint hint, winky winky!)"
