I believe that a leaner Sun is good. I was against Sun being one of the last to reduce head-count, but understood the gamble of holding on to workers. Then Sept 11th occurred which really changed the climate going forward.

Analysts will praise Sun for facing reality. The timing of the layoffs is good. I mean that the general morale of the workers will not be hurt as much since Sun linked the announcement with a shortfall in earnings for the quarter.
