If it requires acceptance of opposing views then IMO it amounts to "having a mind so open then your brains fall out (can't remember who I'm quoting here). If on the other hand it merely means accepting that others hold different views then you would have to be a moron not to agree.

I think your actual opinion falls between accepting all views as equal and embarrassing them all, and merely accepting that others have different ideas. You would say that others have different ideas and while you don't accept those ideas you can't say that yours are intrinsically better just that they are what you believe or if believe is too strong of term (because it might imply a feeling or opinion that they are in some fundamental sense true) then you are comfortable with. Correct me if I am wrong.

OTOH I'm not perfect and can't accept the deliberate mass murder of unconnected innocents as Right, whatever the cause.

I wouldn't call that an imperfection myself...
